Here’s a cleverly installed Claypaky Sharpy on a retractable mount inside a Tempest enclosure at the Pixar Pal-A-Round Ferris wheel at Disney California Adventure.
Installed for seasonal or special editions of World of Color, this fixture is typically hidden throughout the day behind a giant Mickey Mouse face affixed to the Pixar Pal-A-Round. A few hours before showtime, this fixture – along with several others – emerge into show position, creating a circle of Sharpys around Mickey’s face.
Also note the Tempest Twister enclosure and the safety cables around the globe since this fixture and enclosure are installed on a ride.
